Profile
Alan is the Team Leader of The FA Tesco Skills team in Lancashire.
Alan enjoyed a wonderful career as a goalkeeper at county football level, giving up after three years of injury to move into grassroots coaching in his spare time. Alan has been a top level coach for far longer than that, working in Bolton and Blackpool before three years with Burnley FC.
Alan runs a local junior football team from the age of five, seeing them develop into a talented Under-14s team, and now also manages the 8s down to the 4 year olds at his local grassroots club.
Alan is a Level 3 qualified coach and has completed the FA Youth Award modules 1 and 2. Alan is also a Level 2 goalkeeping coach. Alan is also one of The FA Tesco Skills coaches who works with Match Magazine, helping young players across the country to improve their football skills – watch him in action!
Alongside leading the Lancashire FA Tesco Skills team, Alan works with children and schools in Blackpool.
